I have tried every kind of diet in the past. When I was younger some of them worked, but after turning 30, and then especially after having a kid - nothing was working to get back to my ideal weight. I mean I tried every diet! You name it.....south beach, keto, intermittent fasting, low/no carb, low/no sugar, juice cleanses, etc.. Nothing was working for me, and I usually gave up after a month and then would go back to my routine of eating anything I wanted. I mean I had drastically changed my eating routine to do these diets...but where were my drastic results?!
I heard about Kurt through a family member who followed him on Instagram. I checked out his page. My initial thought was something like..."Yeah I am sure he knows what he is doing - but he seems all about sustainability and weights. And weights are fine, but they must take time. And I need results now". I mean, I was willing to give up bread and all my favorite foods for months at a time - I didn't care about sustainability; I wanted results quickly.
I don't remember the exact catalyst that caused me to direct message Kurt one evening that I was ready. I think I was just tired of not seeing a change despite really trying. Kurt was advertising his Toned at Home in 90 days program. I was a working woman, in her 30s, who was ready to lose ~20 lbs. I figured if I could give all the other diets a shot and not get results, why not add this to the list so I really knew I had tried everything? All I had to lose was the possibility of losing 20+ or so lbs in 90 days, which to be honest, I didn't think was totally in the realm of possibility anyways given my previous failed diet attempts.
I am the type of person who needs to see results to keep at something. Kurt understood this and helped me get there. I lost 3 lbs in my first week. In my opinion this was absolutely due to the calorie tracking and reporting. I used to walk into my kitchen and grab handfuls of chips and mindlessly eat them. I honestly wasn't even hungry, it was just something to do and I love chips. But Kurt kept me accountable. And guess what - when I wanted chips, or even my most favorite food pizza with wine, I ate them! Kurt encouraged me to do that, and helped me learn how to do it in a way that I could still lose weight and inches, while gaining a much healthier relationship with food and working out. Speaking of the workouts - they are hard, but important. Kurt gives you workouts that are 30 minutes or less 3 to 4 times per week. While I will never say the workouts are anything less than really hard, I love the way I feel afterwards. And I am so much stronger and leaner than before. So far, I am down 13 lbs. That is great but honestly doesn't compare to the fact that I look and feel significantly better physically and mentally (and in ALL my clothes!🙂).
